holes in the wall

nothing but black holes in the wall
dark, black holes
where life used to dwell
pictures of happiness hung there
but they whithered away
much like the life
she pretends she's living
dreams used to sparkle there
but there's nothing left of them now
just empty black holes in the faded yellow wall
negatives of the night sky
inside out stars
everything wrong, everything backwards
much like the life
she pretends she's living
her family wouldn't want it that way
but there's nothing left of that now
just empty holes
so she sits
and she cries
on a bed that her grandfather made
reaching for nothing
but holes in the wall
